1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of dewwie.com and any associated applications and services (collectively, the Services) operated by dewwie (ABN 50 577 957 384).

By using our Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the Services after changes are published means you accept the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice in the Services.

2. Eligibility

dewwie is for adults aged 18 and over. By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18.

Our Services are intended for Australian residents. If you use them outside Australia, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with local laws.

3. Medical guidance limits

Dewwie provides general skincare guidance informed by our expert contributors, including dermatologists, dermal therapists, cosmetic doctors, and pharmacists. The guidance is for education and information only.

Nothing provided through dewwie constitutes medical advice, a medical diagnosis, or a recommendation for medical treatment. This includes AI responses, website content, and communications from our team.

Dewwie is not a substitute for professional medical care. You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your skin health, medications, or treatments; seek immediate medical attention if you have a skin condition causing significant distress, pain, or concern; and not delay seeking professional advice based on anything you read or receive through dewwie.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, dewwie is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on information or guidance provided through the Services.

4. Use of our Services

You must use the Services lawfully and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

  • Break applicable laws or regulations.
  • Try to gain unauthorised access to the Services or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or connected servers.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract content.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful information.
  • Use the Services commercially without our prior written consent.

We may suspend or end your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity on your account. If you become aware of unauthorised use, notify us immediately at hello@dewwie.com.

We may suspend or close accounts at our discretion, including those that are inactive or breach these terms.

6. AI guidance

Ask dewwie uses an AI language model to generate skincare responses. It draws on your question, information you have chosen to save about your skin and routine, and dewwie’s skincare resources developed with expert input. We send Anthropic your question and relevant information to generate a response. Our privacy policy explains what may be sent and how Anthropic handles and retains it.

Responses may be wrong or incomplete, and they may not account for information you have not shared. They are general skincare guidance, not a diagnosis, prescription, or clinical treatment recommendation. Follow your treating practitioner’s directions for prescribed treatment and seek professional care for a medical concern. We may update the feature and its resources, so responses may change over time.

Some links on dewwie are affiliate links. These may appear in product recommendations, on our website, or in our communications. If you buy through an affiliate link, dewwie may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate links are usually generated through third-party affiliate services rather than direct agreements with brands. A link may be an affiliate link even when dewwie has no direct commercial relationship with the brand.

We may offer exclusive discount codes from brands or affiliate services. We will clearly disclose these arrangements.

Affiliate relationships and discount codes do not influence our recommendations. We consider a product’s relevance and quality, along with its suitability for your skin. We clearly identify any paid or sponsored content.

8. Intellectual property

Content that dewwie creates or licenses, including site text, graphics, logos, and design elements, may be protected by copyright law. Your rights in content you submit are described in section 9.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or create derivative works from any part of our Services without prior written permission, except as permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

Using the Services does not give you ownership of our intellectual property or a licence beyond what is needed to use the Services as intended.

9. User content

You keep any rights you have in the content you submit, including messages, profile information, photos, feedback, and community posts. You give dewwie a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and use that content as needed to provide the features you use, keep the Services secure, and respond to support requests. For Ask dewwie, this includes sending relevant content to Anthropic so it can generate a response. Other service providers working on our behalf may process content for these purposes, as described in our privacy policy. If you choose to post in a community feature, you also permit us to display that post there. We may use your feedback to improve the Services. This clause does not give us permission to use your personal information to train an AI model.

You must have the right to submit the content you share with us. Public posts must be lawful and must not infringe anyone else’s rights or threaten or harass others. We may remove a public post that breaches these terms or creates a safety risk.

10. Community features

Dewwie may offer community features in future, such as forums or question-and-answer discussions. If these features become available:

  • You are responsible for what you post.
  • You must not post defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or harmful content.
  • Community members’ opinions do not represent dewwie’s views.
  • We moderate at our discretion but are not responsible for third-party content posted through our Services.

Separate community guidelines will form part of these terms when published.

The Services may link to other websites for your convenience. A link is not an endorsement or recommendation unless we expressly say so. We are not responsible for an external website’s content, accuracy, or availability, and accept no liability for loss or damage arising from its use.

12. Email communications

Joining the waitlist means you agree to receive emails about the launch, skincare, and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We handle your information according to our privacy policy.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, dewwie makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of the Services for any purpose.

Our Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies those guarantees, or any other right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, dewwie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss of data or loss of revenue.

14. Privacy

Our privacy policy also applies to your use of the Services. It is available at dewwie.com/privacy. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of personal information described in that policy.

15. Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the Services. We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if you breach the terms or we discontinue the Services. You can stop using the Services at any time.

16. General

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

17. Waitlist giveaway promotion

Dewwie is running a promotional giveaway for eligible people who join the waitlist before launch (the Promotion). Entry is free. It is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over who join at dewwie.com before the draw. You must be 18 or over at the time of the draw to win. If you joined the waitlist before these terms were updated, your entry still stands, but the same age rule applies. Employees of dewwie and their immediate family members cannot enter.

Entry is automatic when you submit your details through the waitlist form. There is one entry per person. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.

Dewwie or its authorised representative will select one winner by random draw on the day dewwie launches publicly. These terms are the rules of the promotion. The prize is a skincare bundle curated by dewwie, chosen for the winner’s skin profile, with an approximate retail value of AUD $200. The prize cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.

We will email the winner within five business days of the draw, using the address supplied at registration. If the winner does not respond within ten business days of notification, we may redraw and select another winner.

Dewwie’s decisions about the Promotion are final. Dewwie may cancel, suspend, or modify the Promotion if circumstances outside its reasonable control affect it.
