dewwie is for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts are for personal use, so you should not create a profile for someone else or use your account to get personalised guidance for a child.

Yes. Ask dewwie uses a large language model, a type of AI, to understand your question and help put the answer into words.

It draws on dewwie’s internal skincare resources, developed with expert input, and the information you’ve confirmed about your skin. It does not search the open internet for answers or use Reddit threads and comment sections as skincare evidence.

Saved information from your profile and conversations helps dewwie answer without asking you to explain your routine each time.

AI responses can be wrong or incomplete. Ask dewwie cannot diagnose a condition, prescribe medicine, or provide clinical treatment guidance.

No. A Skin Read is based on the answers you provide. Photos, chats, and routine assessments are not clinical examinations and cannot diagnose a condition or confirm what caused a change in your skin.

No. Dewwie can help you organise your routine and understand product information. It can suggest when professional care may be appropriate, but it cannot diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, or replace care from a registered health practitioner.

Yes. You can keep a record of your routine and prepare questions between appointments. Follow your treating practitioner’s directions, and do not use dewwie to change or stop prescribed medication.

Anything to do with moles, changing spots, or possible skin cancer needs to be seen by a GP or dermatologist in person, as soon as possible. Dewwie cannot assess these concerns through a description or photo.

The app is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Australia, call 000.

No. Product formulas can change, information can be incomplete, and individual reactions are not always predictable. An ingredient check cannot identify every concentration, formulation detail, allergy risk, or pregnancy and breastfeeding consideration.

Dewwie uses the information you choose to share about your skin and routine. Your budget and preferences also shape its recommendations. Keep your profile up to date, because missing or outdated details can limit how specific the guidance is.

Yes. Confirm the products and steps in your routine, and dewwie can explain where they overlap or may conflict. It can also flag possible gaps. A review is based on the information available and cannot confirm that every product is safe or suitable for you.

Dewwie checks how you use your current products before suggesting something new. If your routine already covers what you need, there’s no pressure to add another step.

Yes. Tell dewwie what you’re comfortable spending so its recommendations can fit your budget. A higher price does not automatically make a product more suitable.

Dewwie is built for the Australian market, including local product availability and sunscreen requirements. Prices and stock can change, as can product formulas. Check the retailer’s listing and current packaging before buying.

Where the feature is available, use a product photo, barcode, or ingredient-label image to help find a product. Check the suggested match before adding it to your shelf, because automated identification can misread text or choose the wrong product.

A scan does not verify that a product is authentic or suitable for your skin.

Yes. You don’t need to know your skin type or understand ingredient terms to start. Dewwie explains unfamiliar language and helps you work with the products you have, at a pace that suits you.

Yes. You can ask about a specific product or check whether it overlaps with something in your routine. Your saved information gives dewwie a starting point for the answer.

No. Photos are optional. You can use them to keep a skin log, help identify a product, or add detail to a conversation.

The app will explain what a photo is being used for before it is collected or uploaded. A photo is not a clinical examination or skin cancer check.

It depends on the feature. Some photos may stay on your device. Others may need to be uploaded and processed by a service provider for an online feature to work. Check the notice shown in the app and our privacy policy for the details.

Dewwie takes reasonable steps to protect the images it holds. Uploading a private photo does not give us permission to publish it or use it in advertising.

Dewwie uses your information to provide the features you choose and keep the service secure. We also use it when responding to support requests. We do not sell private skincare information or photos or use them to target advertising. When you use Ask dewwie, relevant information is sent to Anthropic to generate a response. Yes. Use the controls in the app or contact us for help. Your profile and routine may be stored separately from past conversations and saved memory, so updating one record may not change the others.

Yes. Use the account controls or email hello@dewwie.com to request account deletion. You can also ask us to delete particular content without closing your account.

We may need to keep some information where the law permits or requires it. You’ll need to remove any copies you’ve saved, backed up, or shared elsewhere separately. Our privacy policy and terms explain this in more detail.
